Empowered participants? Strategies and other intentional change decisions?These questions drive my work, exploration, writings, and speeches.

Because of these questions I have been the key consultant for leadership development programs during major transition times for organizations like GE, 3M, NASA, and for companies and state agencies in South Africa before, during, and after the end of Apartheid.I have been the consultant during on the redesign of structures and management processes for the Defense Intelligence Agency, various telecommunications companies,SABMiller, the State of Georgia.

These questions have led me into leadership roles in the American Society for Training and Development, the Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation, the Instructional Systems Association, the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame.

And these questions are the energy behind my many articles, papers, and books - for writing is an amazing way to sort out thoughts, clarify questions, recognize what I don't know, and create new ways of thinking about human and organization change and development.
